I started my Continuous Improvement journey in 1986 in quality and operational roles for a major European airline. Long before “Lean” became a common business term, I was already learning its core principles: understand the process, listen to the customer, prevent failure, remove waste, and keep improving how work is done.
In 1996, I joined General Electric, where I first encountered Six Sigma. After an initial culture shock, I saw the power of structured problem solving, data-based decision-making, and disciplined leadership. I became a GE-certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and later helped build Continuous Improvement infrastructure as a certified Quality Leader, coaching Black Belts and supporting business transformation across several GE businesses.
Over the years, I have learned that Lean Six Sigma is not just a toolkit. It is a mindset and a management discipline: a way of thinking, leading, learning, and improving. It helps organisations understand customer value, flow, waste, variation, process capability, leadership behaviour, and the human side of change.
Today, I help professionals and organisations apply Lean Six Sigma, Artificial Intelligence, and change management in a practical, human, and results-focused way. Artificial Intelligence can accelerate learning, challenge assumptions, analyse processes, and support better decisions, but it still needs experienced people who understand real customers, real processes, and real organisational behaviour.
For me, Continuous Improvement is not about perfection. It is about progress, better thinking, and building the capability to keep adapting.
If that is the kind of improvement journey you want to build, I would be pleased to help.
