Van Lean Six Sigma programma\u2019s was in die tijd nog geen sprake, maar van verbeterprogramma\u2019s volop. We richtten ons toen op 3 speerpunten, te weten: ISO9000, Teamwork en Statistische Proces Controle. Nu is Lean Six Sigma d\u00e9 methode om te verbeteren, maar is Lean Six Sigma nu oude wijn in nieuwe zakken of een geweldig huwelijk met kwaliteitsmanagement programma\u2019s?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ISO9000 had vooral tot doel om in elke vestiging en afdeling de basis voor kwaliteit te leggen. We noemden dit: \u201chet huis op orde brengen\u201d. Immers met ISO9000 leg je de basis voor kwaliteit en het helpt ook om overal in de organisatie de eerste stappen naar kwaliteitsdenken te maken. Dus we begonnen uiteraard eerst in productie en de kwaliteitscontrole, maar voor we het in de gaten hadden werden ook customer service, het magazijn, inkoop en technologie erbij betrokken. Vanuit de geachte: \u201dKwaliteit voor de klant maak je met z\u2019n allen.\u201d Niet lang daarna werden ook andere dienstverlenende afdelingen ge\u00efnteresseerd in ISO9000, zoals productontwikkeling, veiligheid &amp; milieu en financi\u00ebn. ISO9000 is heel goed voor de lange termijn borging van de kwaliteit, maar als je continu wilt verbeteren moet je meer doen.<\/p>\n<h2>Doorpakken op continu verbeteren<\/h2>\n<p>Dus naast ISO9000 waren er de Teamwork activiteiten, die tot doel hadden om samen met de betrokkenen de bedrijfsprocessen te verbeteren. Je moet hierbij denken aan het verbeteren van het order-tot-leveringsproces. Maar ook voorraadbeheer, ontwikkelingsprocessen, afhandeling van klachten en vooral het oplossen van allerlei kwaliteitsproblemen werden aangepakt. Veelal ging het om het beter en sneller maken van de processen (lean) en het verminderen van de fouten (six sigma).<\/p>\n<h2>Statistiek en verbeteren<\/h2>\n<p>Met behulp van Statische Proces Controle, maar ook FMEA en Design of Experiments, deden we hiernaast de meer technische verbeteringen. Deze zijn minstens zo belangrijk bij het voorkomen van technische problemen.<\/p>\n<p>Terugkijkend kun je dan ook de vraag stellen: \u201cWat ontbrak er nu aan bovenstaande programma\u2019s?\u201d. Immers veel van de elementen, die in Lean Six Sigma zitten kwamen ook al in de verbeterprogramma\u2019s voor. Het antwoord hierop is, dat een meer gerichte probleemoplossingsmethode en bijbehorende structuur ontbrak. Dus alle losse elementen waren er wel, maar ze pasten nog niet echt goed samen.<\/p>\n<h2>Lean Six Sigma heeft hier voor mij 2 zaken aan toegevoegd:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Wat je ook verbetert, zorg dat je altijd werkt vanuit de klant, en<\/li>\n<li>Zorg ervoor dat je op een systematische manier en met behulp van gegevens je probleem oplost en je proces verbetert. Het maakt hierbij niet zoveel uit of je nu wat meer een \u201clean\u201d of wat meer een \u201csix sigma\u201d probleem hebt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Door Lean Six Sigma in de kwaliteitsprogramma\u2019s te integreren ontstond veel meer samenhang.
